nice if forum headings listed location with postcode or state . click on an interest but where? must go to profile to try find a clue. finally find not sydney sub but same name sub in melb or a location eg south coast nsw or wa ? lot internet time used.
If u check the person who is answering that, you will find most have that listed checking profile means, you see what they are after,

Now if you mean, in threads. Looks at what your posted in the heading.. Nope.. heading doesnt tell me where you here.
Now site wise, never know that might change and they *admin*might make it happen. but then again, you could always start a post.. with postcode or state :)

God forbid that anyone has to click on someone's profile! :giggle: Also profiles give the amount of distance from your location to the other poster's location.
While the opening post wasn't that clear I kind of agree. If I go into one of the hookup sections and a topic title doesn't tell me where it is, chances are I wont even click on it, and if I do and it still doesn't tell me where, then I might check the profile. But it'd help everyone know if the topic is even relevant to them in the first place if there was something to indicate where it was located. I wouldn't do it automatically off profiles though as a lot of people play on holidays, maybe a location box next to subject when creating the topic? It's all well and good to tell people they should be reading profiles, but if you don't even think the topic is relevant to you, you probably wont get as far as the profile when the topic might actually apply to you.
I see it this way - if you take everything just by a heading alone, your missing a great part of the site. Once forum threads are open. All you have to do is look to the left, and each profile square, most folks have a location. Those that have taken the time to add them.
Those that have taken the time to add a location. :)
As for relevant, well it would take more then post codes... to get most folks attention. Looking at profiles, is just one spot. :) Reading what they are really saying is another. They arnt just looking at postcodes. :)
And once again, to make it easy. Add the post code, to the thread. OH look, I noticed you dont have your location or postcode either. Maybe that will help :)
the sites only as good as you make it. if you dont put an area up your not using it to the full.
by looking at a lot of the messages we get most singles dont read the profile any way.

I think you missed the point, for instance, if I go in the dogging forum right now, there's a topic called "hi" I have no idea before clicking on it where the meetup is meant to be be, or even what gender the poster is. I click on it and find out it's a guy and he's in a different state from me. On a good day there can be 10 new topics in lets meet up and dogging, half of which wont say where they are, and maybe 1 a week will actually be in the right area for me. I check every day a lot of the ones that don't say where, just in case it is the magic 1 Hobart post a week, but some slip through the cracks and I then miss a rare chance, which could easily be fixed by making it so people have to at least include state, only using the location they set in their profile also doesn't help for those playing while on Holiday. I can't make people make their profiles accurate or name topics correctly, but with a small change, admins can.
Nope see I didn't miss the point at all. Why make up a million threads with all the different postcodes? Maybe u can start it by adding your post code. In your reply message. Only takes one to start. Let alone if you can't add location or postcode to profile. Or put it in a thread, that your going o get what you want. It's not up to admin, they already give you that chance with the above, which links to the forum and chat. If you can't put it in yr profile, how can you expect others, to put it in forum posts.???
mine is in my profile, but I'm not the one making the topics, people don't need to know where I am from before I even look in their topics let alone post.
I belie what Bobs may be saying is if someone puts up a post, then it may be more helpful to put up the heading "Hi from Brisbane" instead of just "Hi"
Have to admit, when I go into the meetup, dogging, introduction, flirt etc posts, I only click on those that say they are in my area. So if you are in my area dn want to meet me, then a post without an area in the heading won't even get me to click to see what your post is about
But that's the point, it would only take an extra box next to subject for the lets meetup and dogging sections. You can't make a topic without a subject, you can make a drop down box with states in it, then people wouldn't be able to make the topic without at least narrowing it to which state the topic is aimed at. Then it wouldn't matter how lazy the topic creator is, it'd still say.
how hard is it in the subject line to put in 4 numbers or an area. eg: 2262 want a couple or 3456 want a single hottie like haidee or 5454 i want to pluck a rose :silly:
It should be easy, but evidence proves it doesn't happen voluntarily :P
And Haidee, I'd love to ignore the people too stupid to put it, but given topics for Tassie meets come by so infrequently, if I ignored the ones that don't put it themselves, I'd be down to about a post a month in my state. Don't know if it's the weather, or we're all just shy, but there's not much of a scene in Hobart.
