Adelaide Meet and Greet Anyone interested

We are having a look around SH again after realising we really miss the social side of the site.  Dressing up and going out,  socialising with people with similar, non judgemental, open minded interests. 

We're wondering what sort of interest there would be for a meet and greet if we were to organise one.  We've been to a few in the past and they are a great way to meet people.  As we I've way down south, it would more than likely be at a venue like the Tonsley that is on our side of the city and has accommodation so we can have a few drinks and not have to worry about driving home.  But we would be open to other suggestions.

Anyway, maybe if people can register their interest, we will then look at trying to make it happen.  Wont be perfect, but will be fun, we're sure.

Finally, for those who don't know what a meet and greet is, its simply a meet up at a hotel for meal, drink, chat etc.  Its in a public place, so its a great way to meet like minded people and start the ball rolling, rather than hiding behind a keyboard.  Everyone who goes, usually loves them as they are a great night out.

Sounds like a great idea.

Would love to catch up with you guys, any time any where,We have very fond memory's of the Tonsley :)Let us know if we can do anything to help out, although the hard part is done, advertising. The difficult bit now is setting a date. I was just getting Baz comfortable with the meets and they stopped lol.

 I don't think there has ever been a mid-week meet and greet, we're sure the turn out would be very very small given how small Adelaide is.

Well we've had quite a few messages also about this, so we will start looking into some dates and upload some ideas and see what people think.  Wont be suitable for everyone unfortunately, but we will do our best.

How great!! We were thinking how long it's been since we have been to one. We would definitely be in it and happy to help in anyway we can. Popular venues in the past have been Arkaba, Tonsley and Highlander Hotels. Need to give enough notice on a date that suits everyone.

We would both be interested in going to a local meet and greet! Been a long time since we've been to one. We're very overdue!

I will be there

Well it looks like we have narrowed it down to two dates.  Either Saturday 22nd of July (last weekend of school holidays), or two weeks after on Saturday 5th August.

It will be at the Tonsely Hotel as they have nice food, accommodation for people who want to stay and also there is live music on a Saturday night thats generally not too loud as to overpower any conversation.

In the past, most events have centred around an outside area to accomodate the smokers, but at this time of year, we will centre the meeting area inside somehow and smokers can just go out as they need too.  We hope people are fine with that.  (Plus it gives the ladies a chance to wear something short and sexy without freezing their nipples off outside.)

Once we have confirmed a final date, we will make a call through to the hotel to to see if we can get a deal on accommodation for anyone who wishes to stay there as we will be.

If people can just make a mention to either of those dates in this forum thread and we will go from there.  Won't suit everyone, but we will try our best, and you can't ask for better than that.

The 5th August is better for us as we have a party on the 22nd to attend. Though we could try & go to this meet and then the party afterwards too so we can work with whatever you decide on.
