Is there any particular reason single guys don't go to meet and greets? I've been to a few now, and only ever see couples and single girls. As someone who chooses her fbs from chat - and therefore meets, I'm having not much luck. Plenty of guys in the chatrooms say how hot and sexy we all are, say they will go, but never turn up. Do we have that many fakes and posers in here?

Plenty of claimed enthusiasm to meet people, but none of them have gotten to any of the many meet and greets that have been held. There's nothing particularly wrong with not going to meet and greets, so guys, please don't think I'm having a dig at you. It just strikes me as funny that you've all jumped in seemingly trying to defend or explain yourselves, but in doing so you're putting yourselves up as an example of exactly what Haidee is talking about. Haidee, I think gloryholwife summed up the reasons beautifully in another thread.
As a female you probably don't appreciate the male desire when their cock is hard. When they are in the 'Horny Mode' they will say just about anything, until they get off then......all bets are off lol.
When guys are horny they'll come on here, chat people up, and make all sorts of promises about when they can meet. But come a specific night (such as a meet and greet), if they're not in that horny mode they're not going to show.

There could be many reasons for single male low patronage at meet n greets but try and sell the good thing don't try and shame single males into going. Not sure about North East, but there have been some in Deer Park where you could jump on the Western Ring Road and be there in a flash (umm, as long as you don't mind flashing for 40 minutes straight - don't let the police catch you!).
There have also been some in the South East. Eastlink can get you there. City meets are similar - about 40-50 minutes from you. It's a bit of a drive, but not that far. And it's always better to make the effort to go to the women, rather than expecting them to come to you.
As for what meets are coming up - you'll have to follow the Let's Meet Up forum for that. There's a St Kilda meet in August, and a Springvale meet in October.
But if you're after a quick bit of action, keep your eye on the occasional couple or female who posts about going to Thomastown Club X. Less than 30 minutes from you.
Very funny indeed ... I have organised three Sydney meets and I would say that for every meet I would have an average of 50 guys expressing interest but only a handful turn up. The few that do turn up by the end of the night turn into one or two who stay ... Perhaps and indication of the meet not being what they thought or their general lack of social skills.
This is a real pity as genuine single guys do get a lot out of these meets ... And I could share a few secrets about some of the advantages but hey maybe they should just turn up and find out ....

I'd be interested in going to a meet and greet if we ever have one in Tassie, but being a small state everyone here seems to be worried about either meeting someone they know, or it getting back to someone they know that they were there.

you're preaching to the choir there Haidee. I have no issues with it myself, but I've seen topics here, and been in tassie rooms in chat where people have said that. The only way it'd get out to people you know that I can think of is if staff at the bar/hotel you have the meet and greet at know you and others. Anyone there for the meet and greet shouldn't have an issue with knowing others or being found out.

Haidee I understand you did not try and shame single guys into going to meet n greets you put it out there for answers as to why they don't turn up.I was just whining about what i perceived as negative comments aimed at single males that others were making. I have been to a number of meet and greets, however as a single dad sometimes the weekends just dont line up and if its the weekend I have my daughter she takes precedence. I do find however and no doubt will get hammered for suggesting it but there is a strong preference in the swinger community for single women and couples which I understand.
Then there is the strong demand from women for younger men. Which then generates many of women's comments about mens behaviour problems or lack of ability to communicate. Unfortunately men do take time to mature and these skills rarely combine in younger males.
As a mature, experienced male who is comfortable with where I am at both personally, sexually and with my appreciation of women, also professionally educated and able to both generate and hold a conversation when I choose, I do find womens lack of understanding of the male species quite amusing.
Hopefully Haidee at a future event we will get a chance to meet and we can take up this thread in person.

As a person who organises the St Kilda meet & greet I reckon I send out over 100 invites to single males to come along and am lucky if I get 20 turn up and that's mostly from the guys in the chat room who know others.

As a couple who prefers other couples we still do love to meet singles with the hope of inviting them along to occasional private meets and parties.
