It was discussed in a chat of evolving the singalling techniques to a more acute and definable sequence of codes. we were mucking about with tieing a ribbon or a small dog collar to an ariel but that changed to a dog colar, dog toy or a ribben out the window. You could go as far as defninig the colour of the item to what the people in the car identify themselves as and what they are looking for. I see alot of confusion still when i quickly duck into the sites, and most of the ones listed tandem as bi/gay . So some thoughts? Dont make this post about man hating or single guys suck etc its just about the signalling so people can identify one another.

It seems the signalling out there is really quite confusing. I had a car flash their headlights at me last night which is meant to mean they're a couple but it's not a guarantee. If they were to at least flash the interior light as well then it would have made it a lot clearer to see who was in the car. Without being able to tell the occupants in the car I am naturally very apprehensive to approach. Also when you get a gay signal, (brake lights) how do you communicate that you're not interested? Would be interesting to hear from a couples perspective.

What the help is with single guys shining their high beams directly on your car or doing laps of a carpark before deciding to pull up right next to you? I can't imagine that would ever work for them. Let's face it, we're already unpopular enough in most cases without being an arsehole as well. Generally my rule of thumb is to put myself in the couples situation and think; What would I be comfortable with? Then use that as a guide for my behaviour. I will also leave my interior light on for a bit so they know I am a single male.

i think your on the money there with leaving the light on to show the occupants, sadly visibility can get in the way of that, in my travels i tend to get out of the car so people can see me however this leave me open to approach by those i dont want to know.... or having headlights constantly blinding me lol

If we are out and about and parked, and want people to watch us, we would leave our interior light on. If we want anyone to join us we leave the light on and either window down or door open. I thought these signals were universal.
On one occasion we were at a well known spot just scoping things out and hadn't been there long, when we noticed a very creepy looking male, obviously looking for some action, wandering the carpark, going from car to car and actually putting his face up to the car windows to have a look!!!!!! No interior lights, no flashing of headlights, no windows down, or doors open on any of these cars. I assume it made others uncomfortable, as it did us, and there was a mass exodus of the car park....so he got zilch!! This isn't the correct approach......it sure as hell freaked me out!!
I am glad that u are apprehensive approaching cars that have no lights on, but as far as signalling goes, MrB thinks the colour coding eg, blue ribbons for gay guys, green for couples and pink for girls. Just like the colours used for this site. It obviously is impractical as not everyone would know about it cos how do you spread this around the dogging community. As for communicating your not interested in a gay signal.....ignore it. Tell them to move along, nothing to see here.
But as I said...there are universal signals.....and patience is a key........just dont come unannounced peering into my darkened car!!

Yeah I dont think the 'marketing of the idea is an issue given the culture of dogging being very much based on rumour etc. I had anticipated a colour scheme similiar to what the site already posts. But it iss food for thought, much of what I see of meets that go wrong are they are fueled by poor planning, hormones and that leads to people being desperate. Where will dogging evolve to from, here? Whats going to be the new thing for the remaing winter lol.

To us we just play and if people want to watch just come over and watch. If we didnt want to be watched we would stay at home.

What we do at the dogging sites is drive in and around, park and if we want people to approach us we turn our inside light on for a few seconds, so that others can see that we are a couple, normally guys will approach our car, and at that point we will either unlock the door or wind the window down, sometimes the guy/s will ask permission to stand in the open door way or lean against our vehilce. Have found that most guys have been very polite and conformed to our wishes, in saying that they will ask if they can touch etc. We have never had an issue and we hope that it stays that way. It all comes down to some form of communication either physical or verbal from both sides of the car. Long live dogging!!

I'm pretty new to dogging, my wife just is not that type. So I go it alone---which I guess labels me as 'one of those damn single guy's'. I was at BHR last night & patiently waited till a vehicle parked about 4-5 car spaces to my left, the guy got out & checked out who was about. I had my window down & he cld see I was single, he got back in his car & he & his lady put on a great show. Apart from viewing a hot show by 'myhotwife' at club x George St about three or so months ago this was my first experience. So last night (1am this morning) my patience & respect paid off.....I only got out of my car after he flashed the interior light. I approached the car cautiously(nervously too) & after it was clear to me I had been noticed & she was still giving him head I ventured right up to the car. What a beautiful instant turn-on, I then wondered whether me pulling my cock out was going to be appreciated or whether they were going to freak out. They continued the show & although they didn't go all the way the action I saw was great. When she finished him off I applauded, which she seemed to appreciate by the look on her face. Jason

We were at BHR at about 10pm last night, but we don't go in for all these secret signals we just go to have fun and see what happens. When we got there I got out to take a leak, then I got back in the car and we turned the interior light on to find something, so you can see how signals can easily be confused. We saw a guy walking around and knew what he wanted to see, we started to play but the wife has been sick and didn't want to get out as it was so cold, so sorry to the guy who didn't get a show, it also would have been nice to see another couple.

I pass through BHR every day after work to see what is happening. If there are any couples who would like to join in for some fun, or wish to be busted or looked at please do say hi and we can take things on from here.
