So I've been frequenting a local park lately, I've had some time off work, so I can enjoy some late nights. I must say, I can now totally understand why couples, and single ladies, are reluctant to have single guys around. The lack of courtesy and etiquette is absolutely ridiculous. Scenario 1: A couple are playing at a little "information" hut. basically just a single bench and a small shelter over it, generally it has information on it about the park. I keep my distance, watching the couple, I make sure they see me after a while, and it's clear they don't mind my presence. A car comes through the car park that the little hut id close to. The car drives past the hut, then stops, reverses back past the hut, and stands there, lights straight onto the couple, and just hangs there, he doesn't park, and turn his lights off, nah, he must think they are very appreciative of him literally shedding some light on the situation. They try to ignore him for about 2 - 3 minutes, I guess hoping that he will move on, but eventually we all realise that he is indeed a wanker, and the fun has to come to an end. They try to walk down a path in the hope of getting another spot to play, but he follows, still with his lights on them. That was the end of that night's play. Scenario 2 Same park, it was a really hot night so I decided to park in one of the first car parks, and go for a walk through the park, I get to the last car park and as soon as I come into view of a car parked there, an interior light comes on. There is a couple inside, I give a wave of acknowledgement and, keep walking, just to have a look around. I double back to where I parked my car and drive into the park to where the couple were parked. I park a few cars down, and opposite them. Nothing happens this time, so I'm not sure if it was just a coincidence that they turned on their light earlier just as I was walking past. I keep my distance, seeing as no signs have been shown. about 10 minutes late a guy shows up in one of those people mover vans. First he parks right next to me, lets down his window and just stares my way. After a few minutes he moves down to where the couple are parked. I hear a door open, and a bit of shuffling about, one can tell someone is walking around outside. I can just about make out the silhouette of a man moving around. This guy went right up to the parked couple - no signs were shown at all, he just decided to go up to the car. He was moving around the car, but not from a distance, he was right up next to the car, pretty much leaning against it. It was very dark, so he obviously thought he couldn't be seen, but really, I can only imagine how much that would have freaked out the lady in that car, I'm surprised the guy didn't get out the car and knock his block off. Guys, seriously, give the couples some space, show some respect and be courteous, it doesn't cost anything at all, but it can offer handsome rewards. This gives all us single guys a bad rap, can't really blame the couples after what I've seen first hand Rant Over

Well said. The few times we've been dogging I've been turned off by the amount of males that come right up to the car when they can see two shadows inside. We gave no indication (interior light on, or window down) to indicate we wanted attention. It's such a shame that a few ruin it for the majority. Well done Jaydon on your manners.

Hi Guys I must agree thaty there are some real wankers out there, and not the type that some people may have fun with. I go to a local haunt hoping to mix with some couples if thats what they want. I am so suprised that there are so many dickheads that come into the park with headlights blazing, moving or reversing around the carpark attracting the wrong attention. people ty being descrete and turn your lights to parkes so that you dont scare or piss people off

Hey Jaydon - just a quick question - you say you drive, and from your post it sounds like you do this after dark - why do you park the car and walk around? And better yet why do you relocate your car afterwards? We have also noticed an increase in A LOT of idiots lately driving around, high beams on, stopping to haggle people that are clearly not dogging (interior lights not on, windows not down etc) and this has been gradually increasing for the past 2 years now. But we have also noticed a lot of clowns lurking around after dark and it seems like it is increasing as well - no matter how quiet your footsteps are, nor how ninja like one may think they are, usually people can be seen walking around a mile off especially at night. Lurking around a park at night is creepy as hell (I'm sure if a single male approaches you out of the darkness in the middle of the night in a deserted park, you will be quite anxious as to what his intentions are and whether he is trying to stab and kill you or jump you for your phone/wallet) and will usually see couples start their car to take off in a hurry (but then again this might be lurkers intentions so that they can keep the parks to themselves). Being creeped up on or seeing a figure appear out of nowhere or from behind a bush is definitely not a turn on (at least not to us). We were once at a local park (actually not having sex for once), but we were with a friend (a massively built guy - bouncer by trade) just having a bite to eat and having a chat. In the darkened car with tinted windows - we saw a hooded figure slowly approach from the back right hand corner (he was walking ULTRA slowly obviously as he couldn't tell if people were in the car, or was just trying to suss it out without making a sound). He got about 10 meters away, then turned around and slinked away. A few minutes later, we see him coming from the back left side of the car, again walking extremely slowly and again got to about 10 meters away then turned to retreat. Me and the misses knew the tell tail signs, and knew exactly what he was chasing (again we didn't have the interior light on, or the windows opened), but our friend was getting paranoid (but it's not like would could come straight out and tell him what we are into, so had to let him think his own thoughts). About 5 minutes went past and we see the figure start to make his approach again - when he got close enough, our friend without warning jumped out of the car and yelled "OI" and started heading towards him - the poor hooded fella literally jumped about 5 meters into the air and ran as fast as his legs could take him. We heard a car door slam, and a set of tail lights through the trees a little way away and then the screeching of tyres as he got out of there as quickly as he could. Much to our surprise and laughter at what had just happened - our friend called the police on the poor guy to file a report of suspicious activity in the area. As this is a form of sport, I realize nothing I say will change peoples routines now (just like ranting will not stop the retards from doing laps every night on the hour) - but we have been trying really hard to convince single guy doggers to follow the standard protocol/etiquette as applied to ALL doggers = park your car somewhere visible (i.e. at the entrance of the park) keep your interior light on (so that couples/singles will know exactly what you are there for) and allow them the opportunity to come up to you. If they like what they see, I'm sure they will pull up to let you know and signal you to follow them inside for a bit of a play. While I know this is not ideal, especially to people that like hiding in bushes and creeping around parks in the middle of the night unnoticed - and while it might mean you have to invest in some time sitting around and may even mean some nights go by with zero luck - I can guarantee it will get you laid A LOT more, and will grant you a lot more success in the dogging world. Couples like to browse around as well - and if singles can start showing their common courtesy and showing their interest in a non-threatening/non-evasive/non-forward or pushy manner we will push dogging in Australia forward instead of killing the culture before it has even grown properly. Singles also need to understand that some of the newer couples are quite nervous about venturing out and as you have learnt from your own first hand experiences - what goes on is right to scare off anyone. Sitting in your car with your light on as a single male, you never know, you may even spark the interest and ignite the dogging flame in new people. Parks/reserves usually close at dusk (whether the gates are physically closed and even if there are no signs posted) - you won't be drawing unwanted attention from the police (who will increase their presence and will start doing surveillance/foot patrols if a lot of unusual activity is noticed - just like they started with the bigger parks; WGP comes to mind immediately) - sitting outside being clearly visible playing with your phone you are not doing anything suspicious (the cops probably won't even look twice at you) and when you find a play mate or two, going in aint going to be a problem as no other activity will have gone on. But doing laps, parking inside parks, walking around is all suspicious after dark no matter what other thoughts you can convince yourself of as an excuse.

wanted to add that whilst i am ecstatic to be back home in aus i do miss the dogging scene in the uk where it has been able to grow and mature to the point where even single females feel and know they are safe to arrive play and leave on their own ,,,, how much better would our scene be if all involved could be a bit more discrete and polite ,,,

lonelydad - we just got done with a 3 month stint in the uk (again) as well (only got back last week) - and it is very extremely disappointing in Aus with the popular hotspots absolutely ruined now by dozens of single guys cruising. We cruised everywhere from Leicester to Hertford and everything in between and the culture there is awesome - we REALLY REALLY want to see that here in Aus one day. We have had a good week back though with a lot of couples putting on shows, and we were surprised last night by the entrance of a single 19 year old female (first time ever seeing a single female cruising here in Aus - let alone a youngin, even though she only wanted to watch and not play - it was definitely good to see). williek - you need to understand that most parks are frequented by the general public and not just doggers/swingers/exhibitionists etc. Majority of people parking in Australia are definitely not exhibitionists and to generalize are usually a younger crowd that can't do it at their parents house (for any number of reasons) and most likely just looking for some privacy. Parking and advertising is another story... however they don't necessarily need to be interchangeable (a couple looking for privacy may turn their interior light on briefly to look for something, but if your lurking waiting for that then it is definitely a different story because they aint dogging and most likely don't realize they are being watched (but that might be the excitement for you) but definitely something that will freak and creep them out and generally force them to leave in a hurry - usually never to return). Which is a shame - as they are most likely the ones to turn into doggers one day with the right encouragement.
