I see where you're coming from, but I don't think I could ever get bored of swinging. Why, if I could I'd be doing it right now! That's why I'm here, right?

How can you possibly get tired of sex? bored of swinging? I read your other topic on boring couples. Maybe you need to try new things. Maybe you have been there, done all that. Yeah, I guess there comes a point when enough is enough. I haven't reach that point. Not really looking forward for it either.
Believe it or not, It is indeed possible for people to get bored with sex. There was this couple here who was very active in the lifestlye. After about 5 years they suddenly quit which surprised a great many people. I guess after a while, there really isn't nothing new to do. After all there are only 3 holes people!

Wow I can't imagine getting there any time soon. Right now this is just too much fun. I guess it will happen eventually. lol. only 3 holes? It's not about the number of holes, it's more like how many creative ways can you do those 3 holes. ;)
know what you mean we have been swinging for a very long time and we have gone through stages where we are bored with it as well. it just gets frustrating with the same routine, place ad, wait for responses,meetings most good but its the bad ones that stick in your head the ones that dont show up or just lie and pretend to be something they are not. or when you have a free weekend and try to arrange something and it just does not happen we find people are only free on the weekends we are not. so i think its a combination of all this that turn me off swinging and then i get bored .
i tend to now go more to swingers parties as it is alot easier with no hassles ,you turn up have your fun and then go, less frustrating so you dont get turned off with the whole thing.

It's really nice when somebody understands what you are talking about. We have been in that stage too. Everything used to be so much fun. It still is but it's different. Like u said, all the bad ones seem to stand out. We do our own parties once in a while but we feel like we need to stop or atleast for a while. We had our little fun and maybe it's time to get back on us.

I think I understand what you are saying..we haven't reached your stage yet. we are just starting..I guess no matter how excited we are, everything loses it's color in time...we too will try to have our fun and have good memories..
wow Do people actually get bored with swinging? I never pictured that coming. I always wanted to know what it feels like to be with another couple. So I guess I won't be bored anytime soon.

Have had moments. where i have backed away and taken a break. but for some reason or another, i keep coming back. but have never been bored with it. thank heavens.
That and you attend different meetings and you keep seing the same old faces,. Yes its great to have a circle of friends in the lifestyle , but change and new faces and sights are a great ,dont get me wrong i can see where it could happen though roomservice

I would not say bored with swinging, but we started swinging mid 70's and were going hard at it for 5 or 6 years going to parties most weekends 'we were in a swinging nudist club at the time', then family commitments and circumstances changed and we had to drop out.
A couple of years later we were ready to get back into it again but found the whole scene had changed, we were spending more time meeting would be swingers and time wasters than actually swinging which was very frustrating, so we decided to go down the M F M threesome road, their was no shortage of willing guys and I loved to watch and go silky seconds. It did not stop us swinging if the right situation came along in fact some interesting combinations came along over time.
Jen and I have been swinging together for 8-9 years. We are not what some would call hard core swingers who play every weekend and days in between. If we're lucky, we may get to a swingers club 2-3 times a year. The one thing for us when we backed off, was we were trying to start a family. The last thing we wanted was extra sexual partners in the mix. We have never been bored with swinging, but we do agree it is good to take time out from the swing scene to concentrate on yourselves as a couple.
Once our child was born, we have slowly moved back into meeting new couples and ladies. As was stated in one of the previous posts, we think the same faces from the same circle of swinging friends can become a little repeatitive and an aspect of boredom can arise. For us, as we're just getting back into it again, we're a little like kids in the candy store, new friends, new fantasies and so so much to choose from.
Our advice, back off if thats what you want to do. See who comes over for the BBQ and doesnt expect to get laid. The ones who dont expect the night to end up swinging will be the ones there when or if your ready to get back into it. Thats what we found when we got back into it. After 5 years of swinging and 3 years of dropping out and 1 year of getting back into it, we have one swinging couple who stuck with us.
