First of all let us apologise for the site problems over the last week, we have run thorough diagnostics on our servers and have been unable to find any problems, our servers are nowhere near their capacity limit, also we are nowhere near hitting bandwidth limits, we believe that the problems lie with the data center, unfortunately they have not been as proactive as normal and have had to go down the route of proving that there is a problem at their end in order to get them to investigate further, its a frustrating situation to be in and we are doing all we can to resolve this issue. --

Hardly makes you want to renew your extras when every time you try to get on there is problems with chat or the main site itself.
These issues have been going on for longer than a week.
Great look when you go to show someone the site and the homepage doesn't even come up !!!!

The problems have affected every one differently. Please dont attack the messenger. As the homepage asnt been an issue for everyone. no this isnt an excuse.. Admin are very much aware, of the dramas... No im not backing them as a moderator here. If you want to yell and scream.. hey go for it.... do it too me ok... smile I would rather the techies and admin get down to finding the cause and get it fixed. I can assure you, I would rather go back to booting folk if i have too, and not let the chat program get all the glory for the kicking... hehehehehehe Folks also please remember, if your internet.. is a bit iffy,before this all started, it may make things just as bad... take my word for it, they are trying very hard to solve this problem. If its not the site, but where the site is stored so to speak. At the data centre. They have the extra battle...of trying to get them to run checks. I wish you all nothing but a less kick free zone, till the matter is solved.. Rose

G'day all and to add to Rose's overall comments... My telstra wireless link is so slow I didn't recognise that there was a problem until the system actually 'stopped' I am on the NSW central coast, 1,5km from the telstra tower and I often have 15 to 30 seconds for a screen to refresh, so the delays of some/many the last few days have been hidden from immediate view via telstra performance Phil

My telstra wireless link is so slow I didn't recognise that there was a problem until the system actually 'stopped' thats why i dont use wireess unless im out and about, doesnt matter who your with the site will get fixed so i just put up with it. everybody should use the saying DILLIGAF if you dont know what it means look it up on youtube , brilliant

Seriously though, these things happen. I am sure the Ops are doing all they can within their power to reolve the issue. I am sure we have all felt that same sense of helplessness when our on PC's play up and we have to rely on someone else to fix the problem.. (no offence meant to any one that works an IT Help Desk :) )
Ohgeeee - I understand your frustratio and I have had similar problems on other sites in the past re poor performance and access issues - a nicely worded email has always got the down time added on to my subscription. Works a lot better than a rant.

We have been trying to get a fix in for around 5 days now, we believe that we have identified the networking issue and have implemented a workaround, we should know for certain if its ok in 24 hours, if you get any more reports from this point on please let us know, again please accept our apologies for the site issues, we have been working hard to resolve the issue since it started.

G'day Admin Whatever the problem & whatever the solution - thankyou - for a) offering us this service, and b) keeping it going with a smile :-) The "problem" with so much these days is beceuse it's so reliable, when it fails it causes us to sing & dance & swear & moan Bit like the car getting a puncture > we know it happens, but when it happens it's never what we want ~ so we grumble & moan. Hi Admin.
Has there been a fix found for the issues yet?
We are still unable to access the cam feeds in chat or even run our own cam in chat. We have never had issues in the past with running live cam feeds with our internet service (and yet cannot stream youtube videos in a smooth manner ever!) We have up-to date flash player and our firewall is fine.
Our webcam opens up for Skype, just not for SH!
Any help for us in this matter? It is extremely frustrating!
