I've got a friend (with benefits) and we are heading to Sydney in a few weeks, and she wants to go to a bar where she can play and pickup a girl or another couple. Any ideas for a club (besides swinger clubs) where this type of crowd may mingle in Sydney ?

Because of the nature of bisexuality (and it's common acceptance in the straight scene), there is no ONE place to go to, to find bisexual women/people to pick-up.
Best area of Sydney I'd say, is Newtown (approx 15mins from Sydney CBD) and the surrounding suburbs, such as Erskineville, Enmore & Petersham. The Imperial Hotel in Erskineville is usually a great place for queers (of all walks) to hang out, as well Zanzibar in Newtown, or any other pub in the north part of King St, Newtown.

It would probably be much safer than wandering around Sydney looking for a spontaneous partner
You know where you live - I presume she's not too far away - so why not to a Search for a bi female close to home and make it a SH social first followed by some play if it works out
I note that you're in 2444 - I bet that if you did a search for bi-females in & around 2444 you'd get a couple of nice ladies
Also, if you did a Search for couples with a bi-females, my bet is that you'd get a couple of dozen at least
Maybe worth some thought ... ?

I agree with Lumix, but depends on how much time you guys have. We don't usually play on first meet, as we wish to ensure there's chemistry/everyone's definitely on the same page. But there are others that do wish to meet up for wham bam…
And there's always dogging around Sydney, if you're that way inclined.
As for Oxford St, a lot of it has become straight orientated (only a few gay own/run establishments left), and a bit up market. Really depends on exactly what you guys are looking for, as Sydney is very cosmopolitan and caters for a lot of different lifestyles/kinks etc.
