Unfortunately, he was in a public place. Anyone is able to take photos of anything in a public place. Except for minors that is. However that also is very dependant. I'm not saying I go along with what he did, but really, if we are happy to be naked in a public place, then what is there to hide??? Also he was NOT charged for any offence.

I don't think its what people are hiding more what he was going to do with the footage...what if he films you then uploads it to the net?? I don't like people filming us at all. im glad they chased him down, i would have done exactly the same..You don't take a camera to a nudist beach to film unsuspecting people.
The real problem was that it was a hidden camera so you would expect that he was doing it for dishonourable reasons, and it was that fact that would have made it illegal. He also obviously knew it was illegal and probably wiped the memory before the cops took possession of the camera.
Also just because you enjoy the freedom of swimming or being on the beach nude does not mean your have voided all your rights.
I wonder what the point is of going to all the trouble of taking some vision of people laying on a nude beach when taking into consideration the legal risks and public humiliation plus the possibilities of some hostile local justice handed out should he be caught.
The quality of the recording would not be that great and now its the u-tube generation and there are numerous videos of nudes on the beach that can be watched in the legal and private safety of your own home - why bother unless there is the thrill of been naughty and maybe getting caught.... it seems there is a illogical and troubled mind at loose...:silly:
As much as we wouldn't like to be videoed on the beach, at the end of that day as said in a previous post, the quality would have been crap. There are back packs you can buy that specifically ave camera built into them now and you wouldn't even know you were being filmed if someone had one of those packs.
At the end of the day, it was probably more of the fantasy and rush of trying, rather than getting quality footage.
