Over 75,000 male profiles
Over 25,000 couples profiles
Over 6,000 female profiles
Is this correct? If so, I'm astounded!
I'll await verification before I go any further. I'd hate to be accused of not having my facts straight.

I think that with paid membership ( or at least having to pay to use the site effectively eg to access chat and to receive messages) there comes a sense of entitlement. You've paid for a "service" and therefore you expect to receive it - however this is false thinking in this type of environment because the service you receive is not a guarantee of sexual partners. Unfortunately, with the sheer imbalance of numbers, the chances are that there will be many males who have now paid for membership with the expectation that they will receive something in return - and I think this has been reflected in the whispers, comments and quick comments we read all over the site.
That was going to be one of my questions because I'm sure I read somewhere in the forums that Admin were looking into old profiles that had been inactive for 3 months. The profile would be contacted and if they received no response then the profile was to be deleted. I'm sure this was prior to the start of paid memberships.
I still can't believe there are so many male profiles here. 3 times as many as couples and females combined! After all, SH claims to be a swinging site, not a sex or adult site.
No wonder there are some very unhappy members with an imbalance like this.
I used to seach for profiles by their proximity to me, but so many stated that last login date was more then 90 days I stopped searching.
Now this is only a guess but I reckon there are a lot of inactive profiles, and perhaps people with multiple accounts

The token passing of the term "swinger" to anyone who wants or has sex regardless of the context , its been referred to as modern interpretation but what it has been, is a long slow process to include as many types of player as available under the "swinger" banner
Many have joined the site with their own expectations , including us, that couples engage in swinging only to be continuously put in our place by the defacto powers that be.
We arent against single males, due to an acceptance that some couples would like a mmf threesome and good luck to those folks, on that basis some males would be included in the site, not as "swingers" but as extra's.
Unless you have a functional relationship and share the thrill, risk's and outcomes whatever they may be on that relationship, well we dont consider you a "swinger"
This is the best site for couples to meet other couples, We can assure anyone of that.
You may think the constant dealing, deflecting and blocking single guys is the price you have to pay for the good outcomes but quality over quantity and a firm idea of what your after and what your prepared to compromise on dictates you really need never deal out side of your No means No right to choose.

The "service" offered at this site, We would assume to be listings of members and the profiles and the great chat rooms obviously there is no service in sex or outcomes , We would also insist members have a right to safe,abuse free experiaence and privacy of there details unless they want to share them
Admin please keep the site evolving and at some point allow members to indicate whats appropriate features and self controls

Some time back I PM'd Admin with the suggestion that an extra item could be included into Advanced Search to exclude logins over 90 days Admin replied that the whole site is being reprogrammed & updated, so it might become one of the new Search options

We're not mod bashing, but don't go there on the dictionary definitions. There are multiple definitions for swinger, and here's one of them from : "a person who engages in the exchanging of spouses for sexual activities." Don't be so one-eyed as to pretend that definition doesn't exist (ie. "says nothing about singles or cpls"). To do so only supports OKandQ's implication regarding the mods. You know as well as the rest of us do that the term swinging has strong connotations of non-monogamous sex among couples (whether it's with other couples or singles). Just read anything on the history of swinging, research by the Kinsey Institute, or any lifestyle article about swinging - it's about about couples. That has little bearing on this site which, let's face it, is a sex site just like any other (AMM, AFF, RHP, etc). We're willing to bet that at least 50% of the single guys on this site who are eager to fuck other guy's wives wouldn't dream of letting another guy fuck their own girlfriend if they had one. Probably the same goes for many of the cheating married men too. Anyway, this thread has taken a rather unpleasant turn and we're sorry to have participated in that. But we hate seeing silly comments like that go unchallenged. Especially from people who should know better! I was on another site I spoke to a couple they asked me to join because it had free chat wont pay for sites I'm not complaining i enjoy the site the forums and the chat rooms. I haven't made contact with any person male, female, couples no one except the couple that invited me here or people that have posted in forums So now after being viewed constantly by couples that aren't looking for straight males ( someone please explain this to me .I'm not after a gay man so why would i search that criteria ??? )I have been nothing but honest, courteous and polite to everyone on here except 1 person in a chat room that decided to make statements about me in a public forum that were unfounded , uncalled for,and not needed, and it made others leave the room the mods did and said nothing to the person... he should of been banned and kicked off the site .. so now I'm being labelled once again as a single male that shouldn't be on here by a Person that hit on me at a meet and greet is a joke I was going to Sydney for the meet and greet and also to the next one in Melb Im not going to bother my memberships just about up so I'm deleting my account leaving the site and letting you so called open minded people enjoy it with 1 less sex wanting wife fucking single male freak to worry about.. to the people that are expecting me at both venues I wont be there sorry to say.. to the couple i was taking to sydney with me and the single lady .... ask good and greedy to pay for the accom and to drive you.. I'm not raging or getting angry .. Just saying how it is.. Not sure this is the spot for this post....but having a look at your notes. There is nothing about a report, so cant not answer that part any further. I would love to say mods can kick and ban..... just the way you have suggested, but admin have guidelines, that mods, have to follow. As you said you will be leaving the site in a few days. Im not sure this information, will be what you want to hear, but i suggest, a support ticket to admin, if you believe you havent been treated fairly by members or moderators, or admin.

Readdy4fun - If you go into chat members view your profile to see who you are. That's why you would have so many views. And who said you shouldn't be on here? And sorry, I'm not taking on your responsibilities to take your friends to Sydney and put them up. Not sure how I got dragged into that one!

We accept that they exist here too, but to be frank we are just not interested in couples or single males that are unpleasant. We treat them here in exactly the same manner we treat them anywhere else; we disengage and ignore them. Life is just too short. Hope you find what you are looking for in your travels.

G'day all Getting back to the original topic if I may ... Numbers / members / financial members whomever - it's all a game and it's politics "I'm bigger than you" etc etc I am in a certain motoring organisation It claims to have "75,000 members" In reality, after going for 20-odd years, the member registration number has reached 75,000 Looking at the annual financial report and dividing the "revenues from memberships" by the membership cost per year, I get about 25,000 actual, real, everyday members And I guess that it is similar to SH as well People come & go, people come along and try it out as a freebie, some decide to stay, some decide that it isn't what they were looking for & move on. BUT their registration remains on the list, and so management can claim "we have xxx-thousand members" Bottom line ... don't bother with claimed actual members - use the Search screens to find your playmates & play with whomever you can find in your district

Hi Greedy George Bernard Shaw is credited with the old saying "there's lies, damn lies and statistics" The SH figures ACT = 2940 NSW = 9300 NT = 250 QLD = 3050 SA = 2500 TAS = 500 VIC = 10050 WA = 7175 (Totals 35765) And if we were to SEARCH and click 'only show members in ???' we get ACT = 1850 NSW = 21950 NT = 650 QLD = 20150 SA = 6650 TAS = 1350 VIC = 19200 WA = 9550 (Totals 81350) However, if we go into SEARCH and click Seeking 'Couples vs Males vs Females' we get Couples = 25875 Males = 70900 Females = 6200 (Totals 102975) They are all very different - and I guess one of the main criteria is that people when they joined up have not filled in all the boxes ~ therefore leaving gaps in things which muck up the overall results [makes me glad I don't work for the ABS running the aussie census with millions of replies coming in !!

Not to mention overseas accounts, those with messed up location info etc Different criteria are looked at in different places, the Stats number is just a row count in the database, the search has filters and those by location need some work as its not very accurate at all, the whole location module has historically had a lot of problems, perhaps with the new framework things will be better. The bottom line is that the site is incredibly active, our analytics show that some months there's well over 600,000 monthly unique visitors
