Hi everyone. It appears that it is very often a waste of time posting a topic asking questions or seeking any guidance from users of the forum lately. It seems to me there is a trend where people can and do take the time to read a topic, presumably because it interests them for one reason or another, but replies are few and far between or someone takes it as an opportunity to chuck in a smart-arse or derogatory reply. I am not talking about 'let's meet up' etc but genuine requests for info. Just going through the list of topics shows many where a question has been asked and viewed by heaps of people but not one response lodged - surely with all those users someone must know something? Maybe it's just me, but if I read a posting asking for info and I know a bit about it I will give them the benefit of my knowledge - simple manners really. Hope this does not offend anyone and that is definitely not its purpose, but maybe I am missing something. I will say that there are quite a few regular 'posters and responders' here more than willing to share but they seem pitifully small in number compared to the overall number of users. Oh well, cat's out of the bag now lol

will normally answer if i know.... an answer.. and sometimes.. ok some folks say all the time... i have a smart arse comment as well.... depending on uumm subject of cause.. smile

As a mod though though, I have to read everything... Cant wait to see other replies to this.

yes the number of readers as opposed to responders and at times polite responders can be quite dismal when compared to each other... but... as far as forums go... the ones on this site tend to be a lot nicer than ones I have seen on other non adult sites. Ever seen forums on a fitness site? Holy moly they get nasty and holier than thou on those lol

I sometimes answer questions, depending on whether I think I can be helpful or not. Most of the time when I read the actual question, it is different enough from the header that I can't answer it

I saw the topic you made in dogging Stikman, to be honest you may have been a little impatient, it hadn't even been 12 hours since you posted before you posted again asking why no one was posting. This site doesn't have that many members, but lots of people like reading each topic, so you get views, but only a tiny percentage would actually live in your area to be able to answer your question.

its just time filling reading posts, like reading the paper. Some articles you read others you glance at and pass over without really taking in. Generally if we dont know something we dont reply. Needs wink

and dont forget not everybody hered goes dogging, id say it a minor section of the community so if the question is about an activity that very few people get involved in then the replies will be slow if you require an answer that quickly maybe bring it up in conversation on the chat room. and not first quote in the room

Very valid point raised but there can be any number of reasons for sarcastic or belittling comments..Iv'e been guilty of a bit of a slur on a post recently because of the fact that i sent a p.m indicating an interest and requesting more information without a reply..I honestly believe that some people post in forum for nothing more than the feeling of self importance and to genuinely fuck people around, but that's just my opinion and i'm obviously referring to a minority....I'd say stick at it and give it a few more tries because sooner or later the right answers, people or opinions will definately jump out at you.

We normally reply to posts if we believe we have something helpful to offer, but leading busy lives it sometimes takes a couple of days to get there. We love the forums here and it seems to us that most people give sensitive and thoughtful replies to questions asked. Fires
