So like we try and do every summer, and hopefully help our members.

First up, saw on general 9 tonight - victoria is expecting bushfires worse then Black Friday - Seems you guys have really bad conditions, if this lets lose.
hey FOLKS --- if you missed the news today, the cyclone Marcia, looks to be crossing the Coast at a 4 ---- this was the power of what hit Darwin.... If you know anyone between Mackay and Gladstones, Drop me a note, and hopefully I can keep an eye out. Also heads up Top end looks like the other Cyclone Lam, is making its self known too. Anyone knowing folks in these areas. Let us know.

** Southeast QLD / Darling Downs : Next 48 hours forecast and Situation Update **
** Heavier falls to set in around Brisbane by about midnight tonight **
** Possibility that TC Marcia could stay as a fully fledged tropical cyclone all the way south to the QLD/NSW border! **
** A Category 1 cyclone could possibly hit Toowoomba on Saturday night... hang on what? Toowoomba? Read on.. **
The GFS model has done quite well with handling this cyclone so far and on this afternoon's run it has picked up somewhat on its rapid intensification. As a result, this changes the game somewhat for us here in Southeast QLD... Anyway I'll get to that..
In terms of the next few hours, we will more than likely see the rain increase to heavy falls. Both GFS and ACCESS have quite a noticeable change in intensity after about midnight as heavier bands of rain travel down from the north.
This continues into tomorrow afternoon with heavy falls continuing... but the interesting thing about this is what you see on the graphic above.
The remnants of SEVERE cyclone Marcia are still tipped to travel southwards along the Great Dividing range, still maintaining cyclone intensity nearly all the way to the QLD/NSW border! In fact, you can see here that this model is tipping a Category 1 cyclone to impact Toowoomba on Saturday night!
The craziness just keeps on unfolding!

Yes, it is sad to see people get affected by devastating bush fires, raging floods and intense tropical cyclones.
Its on the news almost every day. We can't fight much against natural calamities but it is better to take enough precautions and be prepared for such eventualities.
