We wanted to go but being in the city the cost of parking ect is a small fortune especially once we pay for dinner babysitter drinks parking ect

Is this going to go ahead? Orange, maybe it does need to be shifted to a venue, close to the city but without the added cost of parking, seeing most are looking like they will drive in. I'm happy either way, I will train it down or get a room in Southbank close by for anyone who wants to camp for the night.

Yes, all going ahead, Saturday 23 November, 8pm, Plough Inn Southbank.
Members who expressed an initial interest in attending an event asked for the Plough Inn as the location. On street parking is available at a small cost close to the venue or it is possible to park a few blocks and walk or park at a busway or railway station a couple of stops away where there is free parking.

We will be meeting on the deck of the Plough Inn tonight from 8pm. There will be balloons on the table. Feel free to arrive at any time. Remember, it's free and in a safe and friendly environment.

Hope the night goes well. An old mate is in town up here and called me to have dinner, totally unexpected and very last minute. Finished pretty late, just got home and is now 10:30pm, too late to drive to Brisbane. Enjoy all, or hope you did

What a great night it was at the Plough Inn. Two long tables were full all night accommodating 20 - 25 people, some people came and went yet the tables remained full meaning there was a total of 35 - 40 who attended. We got off to an early start with most people arriving before the rain, in fact I think we pleasantly overwhelmed Plough Inn at the number of attendees. Parking was not a problem with plenty available undercover. Really impressed the number of people who appear to be quiet on the site, yet attended the event. Lots of new connections were made in a discreet, safe and friendly environment. Those who attended are keen to meet again in the new year and have suggested other regions that would like similar evenings also.
