Please don't take this the wrong way but I think what killed it is that you were kind enough to organise it but everyone knew hardly anything about the couple you were organising it for and many assumed yous would be there also and when you posted you wouldn't be then that kind of killed it...............so suddenly we would be meeting someone we have know idea what they look like.
With all due respect why didn't they join the site and post some photos and info about themselves and organise it themselves? I'm sure they had their reasons but I think third parties organising something like this is difficult and asking for problems.
I for one don't like meeting someone for an encounter unless I have either chatted to them previously and know a bit about them or at the very least know what they look like.
