Sydney badly needs an adult venue like the old Club X. Supposed to be an international city, major tourist destination etc etc, yet stone dead after dark. Anyone who could get Club X or similar up and running again would have my support. Of course a cinema is essential. Many a good time had there.

What is wrong with Club X these days? We wanted to try a few Fridays in the last few months but every time we showed up there were a bunch of appalling guys crowding the cashier area and having what is sounded like a loud may be drunk party. They were staring so badly that my lady decided not to give it a try. I went back alone another day and these jerks were crowding a couple (they left the cinema in no time) in the cinema too. There is one particular jerk with a monster belly who was blocking the corridor with his stomach! WTF? In the old days these guys were evicted for good! Any others have such a bad experience or only we are the unlucky one.

Sadly this tells the story of why very very few couples venture into the cinema anymore. Food for thought guys!!!!

You are right, maybe 1% hit 99% miss. It used to be better for couples but has been going down hill ever since they split the cinema. Most couples that do venture inside these days are immediately mobbed and then retreat, never to return. I used to be very regular customer but now I don't even bother. Shame coz it used to be good.

No guarantees but I heard a whisper that a couple will visit Club X on Friday night somewhere around to Can't make it myself but if it does happen I would appreciate a post about what went down. Very few couples go there now, not like the good old days in the old cinema.

Club X is open seven days. Cinema times are roughly 10am to about Monday to Saturday, and or close on Sundays. Closing times seem to vary a bit depending on the mood of the particular staff member.
I also believe they have installed some new seats against the back wall in each cinema. These seats are supposedly reserved for couples which should be good if its managed properly.

Couldn't agree more. I have been a long time regular at Club X and IMHO they have stuffed the place for couples and the well mannered guys that like to watch them.
The cinemas are way too small. With 16 seats in each one there only has to be five or six guys spread out a bit and it looks crowded. Any couple coming in are then forced to sit right next to someone (or leave), very intimidating. I also have noticed an increased aggression from guys who I have never seen there before. Even I don't feel comfortable.
It's a shame cos it could have been so good. Bottom line for me at least is that I doubt I will be as regular as before.
Vote with your feet guys and let the manager know. Maybe eventually they will take down the wall.

Thanks Scottie. I did hear a rumour that It would reopen on Monday. Also heard that Elvis had been sighted waiting for the doors to open. Wasn't sure which one to believe : )

The latest news is that there is no news. The doors are closed, there's nothing on their website and they're not answering the phone. So when it will reopen is anybody's guess. You would think they would at least put up a sign or message on website to the effect "Closed for renovations, new shop and cinema opening soon". But maybe that's too much to hope for!

The latest word is that the cinema is being split in two, one side will show gay movies and the other straight. Obviously each side will be under half the size of the old theatre. The shop may reopen next week but the cinema will be closed for at least another two weeks.
The live show room is to be moved up the back and I also think there will be glory holes. Seems the new setup will be similar to the Dendy in Melbourne which is also owned by Club X.
Anyway that's the latest word I got from another punter so we will need to wait to see how it actually turns out.

Surprise surprise, the renovations have been postponed yet again. I understand the new date is 1st April and if things run true to form it could easily change again. So my advice is that if you plan to go, phone ahead (REMOVED BY ADMIN).

I was at Club X today (Friday 7th March). The manager told me that the renovations have been delayed by two weeks so they will now close on Monday 24th March. The shop will close for one week, the cinema for up to two weeks.
That's the latest but who knows, it may change again. If anyone hears something different then please post. (BTW I have no connections whatsoever with Club X, I'm just an interested punter trying to keep everyone informed).

Mate You are right. club X closes the cinema at Monday to Sat and would you believe it, at on Sundays. I have seen a number of couples come in all hot to trot only to leave in disgust cos the cinema was closed. In the biggest city in Australia that is unbelievable.
Sorry you didn't like Club X. Some do, some don't, but you have to remember that it just a porn cinema so you're likely to get all types there.

Just to finish this saga, I would like to apologise to Ron and his girl for suggesting they were no shows. It seems they did arrive as the cinema was closing and then left immediately. I got a report from someone who did see them and it seems that Ron's girl is indeed 'stunning'. Hope they visit again sometime soon as would love to see them in action when the cinema is actually open.

Mate I did not get carried away. I have a number of pm's from Ron B telling me that he was bringing his girl to Club X last night (Sunday) between and 10pm. I left just before 10 as the cinema was closing. Seems they turned up just after but too late.
The photos on CL are from two years ago, not from last night. I know cos I was at both events.

Unfortunately Ron B and his girl did not make it to the cinema before closing time. Shame cos it would have been a memorable event.
On the positive side a nice blonde lady and partner came in about and put in a stellar performance for about 45 mins servicing the patrons. Hope she comes back again soon.
For everyone's info the cinema closes at 11pm Mondays to Saturday and 10pm on Sunday. Why they do this in a city of 4.5 million people is one of the mysteries of life!

Yeah, just got back from Club X and surprise surprise - NO SHOW. Your post didn't say might or maybe. It was definite with time and all, and no follow up post to cancel. Sorry but you guys belong in the "name and shame" file. I should have smelt a rat, usually if something appears too good to be true it probably is. Ultimo said it all. People need to understand that Club X is just a porn cinema where couples sometimes go to put on a show. Everyone from 18 to 80 and beyond has every right to be there. It is not some exclusive sex club for the under 40's If you don't like the place then don't go but please don't bag it.
Just occassionally we get lucky and see someone like Gloryholwife there. Probably my best time there ever. Please cum back again soon babe.
