Penrith Panthers Meet n Greet - 7pm Saturday 5th October 13

Hey all! Thought it was about time we Sydneysiders got together for a fun night. After the success of the last Panthers meet we thought we would give it another go. For those who dont know Panthers is located on Mulgoa Rd, Penrith and there is plenty of accommodation around for those who require it. This is a social event and is open for all to attend. Having said that we are all adults ( mostly) smile

so what you get up to afterwards is entirely up to you. So come along if you can and have a fun night out with us! We will put some balloons on a few tables in the outdoor area near the front entrance to the club so you know where to find us :) Hope to see you all there!

Great news guys... We've been waiting for another a Sydney MnG. Mrs 2 is running her first half marathon in the morning of the 5th which just happens to be at Penrith Regatta centre. I'm sure she'll be sore and sorry by Saturday evening but we'll do our best.

well i did meet and greet the last 2 friday night and only 2 people turned up so dont say u been waiting for greet and meet when i tryed to do meet and greet last 2 fridays i think it person that does the greet and meet im not popular enought for people to come to my greet and meet

BBW: I could be wrong, but I saw your forum posts, and my understanding from reading them, was that you were going down to the pub for a few drinks and wanted to know if anyone wanted to join you. I didn't read them as being a full M&G. Normally M&G's are organised weeks in advance, with plenty of posts in the main chat rooms. Anyway, like I said, I may have misunderstood, but perhaps if you are planning them, speak to someone who's organised a successful one and see what you could do differently.

Firstly, Matt & Megs, I apologise if this is considered hijacking, and/or irrelevant...
BBW, the probable reason two people turned up to your "Meet & Greet" was because you didn't promote it as a meet & greet. You simply said something along the lines of "I'll be at this club, watching footy on Friday night, if anyone wants to come along & join me". Obviously, two people were interested enough in that to join you. Generally speaking, nobody that goes to a meet & greet is interested in sitting in the sports bar & watching footy. They're interested in meeting like minded people, catching up with old friends & having a bit of fun.
Had you advertised it as a "Meet & Greet", left the footy watching out of it, and promoted it accordingly, then I'm sure you would have gotten quite a number of interested parties along for the ride, as Megs & Matt normally do. Their events are always well promoted (as Meet & Greets), and attract a lot of people as a result.
That said, Megs & Matt, we regret that we won't be able to make it, but wish you every success with your meet.

well i did put up heading i try again for meet and greet on the 13/9/2013 so i forgot to put sticky and i just did it on spare of the momment on the tue when i new i was going to the pub so next time wont say about the footy just thought a few people would have turned up that all

ive been to a few meet and greet and had a lot of fun but ive been to 2 sydney meet and greet and ive noticed when i turned up everyone was in there little group i just stood back and watched and nobody come up to me and said come in and join the group it was my second meet and greet and i was a bit shy to go up to people i went to was in sydney and another one in rooty hll rsl i think who ever organizes the meet and greet should introduce people ive been to 3 canberra meet and greet and when i turned up the organizer introduced me to everyone so then i went to chat to people and had a good night cause i new people names just a thought
