So I've been frequenting a local park lately, I've had some time off work, so I can enjoy some late nights. I must say, I can now totally understand why couples, and single ladies, are reluctant to have single guys around. The lack of courtesy and etiquette is absolutely ridiculous.
Scenario 1:
A couple are playing at a little "information" hut. basically just a single bench and a small shelter over it, generally it has information on it about the park. I keep my distance, watching the couple, I make sure they see me after a while, and it's clear they don't mind my presence. A car comes through the car park that the little hut id close to. The car drives past the hut, then stops, reverses back past the hut, and stands there, lights straight onto the couple, and just hangs there, he doesn't park, and turn his lights off, nah, he must think they are very appreciative of him literally shedding some light on the situation. They try to ignore him for about 2 - 3 minutes, I guess hoping that he will move on, but eventually we all realise that he is indeed a wanker, and the fun has to come to an end. They try to walk down a path in the hope of getting another spot to play, but he follows, still with his lights on them. That was the end of that night's play.
Scenario 2
Same park, it was a really hot night so I decided to park in one of the first car parks, and go for a walk through the park, I get to the last car park and as soon as I come into view of a car parked there, an interior light comes on. There is a couple inside, I give a wave of acknowledgement and, keep walking, just to have a look around. I double back to where I parked my car and drive into the park to where the couple were parked. I park a few cars down, and opposite them. Nothing happens this time, so I'm not sure if it was just a coincidence that they turned on their light earlier just as I was walking past. I keep my distance, seeing as no signs have been shown. about 10 minutes late a guy shows up in one of those people mover vans. First he parks right next to me, lets down his window and just stares my way. After a few minutes he moves down to where the couple are parked. I hear a door open, and a bit of shuffling about, one can tell someone is walking around outside. I can just about make out the silhouette of a man moving around. This guy went right up to the parked couple - no signs were shown at all, he just decided to go up to the car. He was moving around the car, but not from a distance, he was right up next to the car, pretty much leaning against it. It was very dark, so he obviously thought he couldn't be seen, but really, I can only imagine how much that would have freaked out the lady in that car, I'm surprised the guy didn't get out the car and knock his block off.
Guys, seriously, give the couples some space, show some respect and be courteous, it doesn't cost anything at all, but it can offer handsome rewards.
This gives all us single guys a bad rap, can't really blame the couples after what I've seen first hand
