@ bearboo. Please send me the details to investigate this issue.

Lyn  -  Admin

Hi,

We have recently changed our chatroom settings to give you easier access to the cams without the need for the format flash links etc.

Now if you get an error either watching or broadcasting cams, chances are you just need to go to your settings (which is on the top right next to rooms)

Then under camera format you will have the following options.

Flash - This is the most common setting you will need and is used on most computers when the cams just spin.

Webrtc - This is usually used on Tablets and phones.

Webhls - This is for Iphones and ipads

If you still cannot access cams or broadcast your cams please feel free to submit a ticket and we can give you a hand with fixing the issue.

Thanks,

Sarah

Hi, Thanks for your message, All members pay the same for memberships regardless of if they are male, couple or Female, I'm not sure where you have seen different? The only Exception is members that joined the site prior to May 2012 who got lifetime premium membership, This once again applied to Couples, Males and Females. We do not single anyone out here just because they are male smile
How true is this statement below?? biggrin :D :D

Does it pay off to be a Domestic God?? or is it better to just lounge and let the Lady do the work haha
It's Friday its time for some fun and giggles. If you could describe your sex life in a movie title what would it be.... My favourites so far are Free Willy and Deep impact
These issues have now been resolved, if you're in chat and can't see them you will need to refresh chat using Ctrl F5; Access to private rooms Leaving rooms now works, this fixes a number of bugs like joining the lobby etc Camera Popout Camera mic mute Status not changing
you might need to log out of the site and then back in to get it to authenticate if you're having problems, if that failed please let us know via support.
Unfortunately some of the banks place weird requirements on transactions with other Countries, although I must say that the vast majority are just fine, if anyone else has the same problem they could always put in a support ticket and we will endeavour to sort something out smile

Admin - all the more reason to bring in the long awaited cam block feature that's been promised for nearly 2 years.

It is coming, we have it working like that on swingingheaven.ca, now we need to roll out the new framework across the other sites, were doing the quieter ones first in order to sort out any bugs, Kiwi should go live next week, then Ireland after that, then here smile

Admin, please realise that there are many of us love the site because of the people here and we only want to help make improvements. It would really help if you recognise our support tickets when members make constructive suggestions about the site. And the response needs to come from Admin not a mod replying on behalf of Admin (as sometimes happens).

Only Admins deal with support tickets GoodandGreedy, usually we aim to reply the same day, however weekend cover and at times when more than one of us is off due to unexpected sickness it can take a bit longer.

Wow! Just... wow!
etc etc

Forum posts and profile details have always been public, in fact they were that way when you joined the site, so why the shock horror now, its never been a secret and will be staying that way.
If the site wasn't like that I very much doubt if the site would be here if I'm honest, in order for people to join a site they need to find it, sure we do get some join after being told about it by a friend, but the vast majority find their way here after finding us on a search engine.
You describe how the site deals with images as a security flaw, its not actually a security flaw but the way the site functions in order to display images. Its always been the way in fact. Non adult pics are public, adult pics and private pics are not. One thing you won't be able to do though is find the photo's in your albums on Google as we don't allow Google to crawl them, also it is not possible for people to hot link profile photos from elsewhere, they will only display if the image url comes from this site.

Rose, when 'Extras" was I think around $34 from memory, then around $49. Ours is due to run out sometime soon, are we to pay more again? We heard there is an increase in fees again.

There hasn't been an increase in cost and were not planning one, I think its just a rumour, sometimes offers go out and some packages can be cheaper, but the pricing structure does not change.
Thanks for the suggestions, some such as the additional search options should be pretty easy to implement, but we do have to get the new framework in place first, the new framework has taken us longer than anticipated to get how we want it, even with 5 developers on it full time, over the last couple of months we have been working out the bugs on our Canadian site, after that we want to roll it out to a couple of smaller sites (Kiwi & Ireland) before deploying it here, just to be sure that we get everything just right before it hits this place, we have a long list of suggestions from all of our sites which we can focus on when its all in place.
Coasties2, ever since the early days there have been a number of warnings built into the cancellation process to advise members that when an account is cancelled it can't be resurrected, the data that gets purged from the database during a cancellation and can't be recovered.
Just to clarify a few things;
The last time that there were any price increases on any of our sites was May 2012, everything has remained the same since and we have not increased the prices for membership here.
Changing a username on the older accounts does not mean you have to pay, that would only happen if you deleted your account and then re-joined with a new account.
Anyone can change their username or account type without closing their account, if help is needed its always given, provided that an account type change is genuine we usually do it for free if a request comes in via support or a moderator is approached in chat.

If the profile you messaged is a non paying member then they can't reply to your messages. That could be one reason.

They'll be able to reply from the start on next month though.
Personally, I'd rather the restriction wasn't in place, over the course of time we have tried many things to see how they work out and to see what impact it makes on the site, user experience is very on our list of priorities and I believe that this is one change that is detrimental to that, we will be reinstating the ability for non-premium members to reply to up to 3 messages per day from other members on the 1st July, the stripper will also be removed, we will however need to monitor reports to ensure that no abuse of it takes place. Thanks for the feedback and letting us know how you feel.

They are all very different - and I guess one of the main criteria is that people when they joined up have not filled in all the boxes ~ therefore leaving gaps in things which muck up the overall results

Not to mention overseas accounts, those with messed up location info etc
Different criteria are looked at in different places, the Stats number is just a row count in the database, the search has filters and those by location need some work as its not very accurate at all, the whole location module has historically had a lot of problems, perhaps with the new framework things will be better.
The bottom line is that the site is incredibly active, our analytics show that some months there's well over 600,000 monthly unique visitors smile
Hi Phil, You don't have to be logged in as a member to submit a story, so the name could be bogus or a site member, now that may sound mad, but the reasoning I think is pretty sound, by opening up the story submission to anyone we end up with more stories for everyone to read on here, we also check that the stories aren't copied from elsewhere and review them before publishing. Having said all that the stories section could possibly do with a few tweaks to put in links to members profiles (if they wish) if they submit stories when they're logged in, another for the list when the new framework gets rolled out.
We set it up on the Cafepress Australia site, looking at the shipping costs for each territory that they cover I suspect that they ship everything from the USA, which sort of sucks as I'd have thought that a company of that size would have distribution centres where they do business, all things considered it was the only viable way for us to get something up to offer to the members here.
I believe that there's all sorts of stuff that can be added, I'm sure Sarah will be reading this when she comes online so you should see a few other things appear smile
New framework phases; Plan > Build > Test > Deploy Its approaching test at the end of build and debugging, at an earlier stage we put in a freeze on new features and limited changes to fix any faults that appear with the current version, as introducing changes to the overall set up fucks everything up. Btw, chat sits outside of the framework, its a different type of code/system altogether and runs on its own servers, although it connects to the same database as the new framework, the database structure doesn't need to change and if you read my post above I did say that it would probably require a complete rebuild of chat for this change. We do get good feedback from the forum, but we will be polling all members at some point as I think its important to give everyone that uses the site the opportunity to provide feedback.

When this was a free site it was fine to have basic features like this overlooked. I get that the site is run by hobbyists, but now that it's a pay site if the hobbyists can't deliver then they need to use some of the members fees to hire a developer who can.

We have a team of in house developers, they're all very talented and as Sarah mentioned above have been rebuilding the sites framework for some time now, we recognised a while back that making changes to our sites was becoming very cumbersome due to legacy code so we made the decision to rebuild a new framework from scratch based on our experience over the years and current best methodology, moving forwards this will help a lot.
The biggest issue with the blocking will indeed be the chatroom, it may even need a complete rebuild to function properly with this feature, I'm pretty sure profile blocking will be a quick implementation with the new framework.
We will knock something up based on the coloured circular bit in this logo;

It will have to be via cafepress as being based in the UK having things made and shipped out there just wouldn't be practical.
Apple are indeed the problem, they wouldn't approve an app for this site. We have plans to have a mobile version of the site, before we do that we have to completely rebuild the framework behind the site, this task has been ongoing for many months now and we should be ready to start testing in the new year before we roll it out, after that we can start work on the mobile version.
We have been trying to get a fix in for around 5 days now, we believe that we have identified the networking issue and have implemented a workaround, we should know for certain if its ok in 24 hours, if you get any more reports from this point on please let us know, again please accept our apologies for the site issues, we have been working hard to resolve the issue since it started.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.
The point above is one of the main reasons I am hesitant to go Premium - Living in the country means there are very few paid accounts in our area. To get the most benefit from the site we need to be able to communicate to non-premium members.
If going Premium means the majority of users in our area are still unable to message us back - there is much lesser value in a paid account for us. (Happy to accept this may be different for city folk who have more Premium profiles in their area to choose from).
I will say again however, that the current pricing for a paid account is very reasonable compared to other sites. If non-premium members can return messages from Premium members my decision to go Premium would be very easy.
Will await the final options and structure from the Admin team - and thanks again for the replies.
Cheers,
Happygirl

Happygirl, you already have Premium access, it is only new users that need to pay for premium access, when we introduced the requirement for new members to pay, we decided that all existing members would have free premium access for as long as they wished to stay members of the site with their account, there is the optional Extras package which gives you a few more options if you wish to pay for that.
We will run a trial, allowing new members to reply to a few messages every day from other members to see how that goes.
We still have a number of things to try and haven't decided on the final access levels for non premium members yet.
These guidelines are a working document that may change and evolve until we have a set of guidance notes suited to the new commercial section of Swingers Heaven. It should be noted: - Swingers Heaven has no involvement in any events or club events. - Swingers Heaven takes no share of any profit made from an event, and the service is provided free for the use of registered site members only. - Members should make up their own mind whether an event offers good value for money. Swingers Heaven makes no representation regarding the quality of the event or venue. - Members should make their own enquiries if the venue they may be attending, holds the relevant commercial insurance, fire, electrical, food hygiene and other such certificates. Swingers Heaven makes no representation regarding this matter. - If you are listing a Party / Club party, from which you are going to make a profit for yourself or business, then this is the section for you.
